I'm pleased to introduce the new design for my site! The goal was for it to be creative and unique but also professional. Besides displaying information about my skills, I wove those skills into the site. For example, I use jQuery to create the animation of the drawers that slide out, and to create the tab interface in the Skills section. I designed the graphics in Adobe Fireworks and hand-coded the XHTML and CSS in a text editor. To make the site easier to maintain, my next step will be to create some MySQL database tables, manage the data in them with a PHP script I created called baseTap, then use PHP to populate this page with the data from the database.
