I'm very excited to be heading to Case for my second Dental School interview tomorrow. My first interview was at the University of Detroit Mercy, so it will interesting to compare. After working on my pre-requisites for so long it's great to be making progress towards starting Dental School!

 

UD Mercy is very focused on Clinical experience, whereas Case is more focused on research, although it does incorporate Clinical experience starting already in the first year, which is excellent. I was fortunate to attend a lecture at the Schubert Center last year by Dr. Lalumandier and was highly impressed with his emphasis on helping disadvantaged populations in Cleveland. I think it's exceptional that he was able to incorporate the Healthy Smiles sealant program into the Dental School curriculum.
